    MUST HAVE TABLE GAMES EXPERIENCE

    SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the Table Games Supervisor, the Table Games Dealer is responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing a specific table game according to Gold Country Casino policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming Regulations.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ASSIGNED:

    • Responsible for dealing the games and the protection and control of the game being dealt, Blackjack and other Casino specific table games.
    • Conducts the games in accordance with the Casino's policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Table Games Supervisor of any irregularities.
    • Advises Table Games Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game.
    • Informs the Table Games Supervisor of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players and their action.
    • Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience.
    • Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of customer service, hospitality and developing players.
    • Promotes departmental and property with promotions.
    • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming law (Tribal, Federal, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Casino's and Gaming Commission's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of customer service at all times.
    • Responsible for being available to work any shift, any day on short notice when needed.
    • Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record when scheduled.
    • Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must pass initial drug screening, background investigation, random drug tests and credit check.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and staff. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience equal to standard high school graduate. Proven knowledge, training and/or experience the assigned game required. Basic knowledge of all current Casino procedures required.

    MATHMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk, hear. The Team Member, frequently, is required to stand for extended periods in one position. Team Member is required to sit/stand and use hands and finger coordination, handle, or feel objects with continuous wrist, hand, arm and finger motion and dexterity. The Team Member is required to reach with hands and arms.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. The casino floor is a smoking environment, and the Team Member must be able to tolerate tobacco smoke.
