    Sr Chemist in Skincare

    Full-time

    Location: Palm Spring, FL

    A senior chemist specializing in skincare plays a crucial role in developing and replicating skincare, body care, hair care, and over-the-counter (OTC) products. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day activities in the formulation lab, ensuring prompt development and replication of formulations while complying with regulatory standards. This position demands attention to detail and expertise in personal care formulation to effectively meet business requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop or replicate skincare, body care, hair care, and OTC products.
    • Manage day-to-day formulation lab activities to support business needs.
    • Develop and replicate personal care formulations according to deadlines. Manage lab regulatory requirements for product development.
    • Research and develop formulations for skincare, body care, hair care, and OTC products.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination with Pilot and Quality teams.
    • Assess project feasibility and assign tasks to lab technicians/chemists based on complexity and required skills.
    • Support Pilot in creating new formulations.
    • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Departments effectively.
    • Collaborate with Process Engineers, Production, Purchasing, and Quality Control teams.
    • Provide technical expertise to Marketing/Sales and participate in joint customer visits as necessary.

    Requirements:

    • Experience as a Chemist in Skincare.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related scientific fields.
    • Minimum of 4 years in color cosmetics formulation or equivalent experience and education.
    • Must have Over The Counter (OTC) experience aligned with FDA regulations.
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
    • Problem-solving attitude.
