    APOSITION SUMMARY:
    The Controls Engineer isresponsible for project execution, operations and maintenance support of Evolution's Automation and Controls platform.

    Individual will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to familiarize themselves with Evolution's hardware, software, and network strategy; administer controls environment (hardware, software, networks); maintain, develop, and execute automation solutions that enhance control systems capabilities.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, commissioning and startup of future generations of Evolution's controls platform.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.") First point of contact for operations support for technical support of controls platform to ensure continuity of operationsProvide technical support as required to ensure continuity of manufacturing of equipmentProvide training for operations on new processes and technology related to controls engineeringResponsible for executing projects involving the controls platform and all related hardware, software, and networksAccountable to design, commission and startup automation and controls solutions that can integrate, where appropriate, to the existing controls platform and strategyUnderstands equipment electrical controls and can actively work to troubleshoot issues with PLC's, controllers, networks, VFD's and power systems, controls & automation software, and all other related elementsMaintains high level of knowledge on controls systems, hardware, and programming/software standards and market trends to keep company environment currentActively serves as central point of contact for third-party automation integratorsPerforms other related duties as assignedWill be required to engage with various technology vendors and partnersWill be required to travel for discussions with stakeholders, direct operational support and/or technology R&D or deployments


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).Possesses a valid U.S. Driver's License.

    Daily, predictable attendance QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL3-5 years of automation, controls, and electrical equipment experienceSpecific knowledge of Hydraulic Fracturing activities preferredSpecific Knowledge of Siemens S7 platform preferredKnowledge of equipment controls and logicAble to read electrical/controls drawingsAble to read network diagramsQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong time management capabilitiesExperience successfully executing controls and automation projects with ability to effectively manage a variety of projects simultaneouslyStrong working knowledge of control systems, SEIMENS hardware and software systems and environments, programming languages, protocols, and networkingExcellent ability to read, interpret, understand, and write SCL PLC programming languageStrong track record of operations mindsetStrong ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goalsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsAbility to explain complex technical principles accurately and effectively Strong critical thinking and decision-making skillsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs and any other project design documentsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Controls Engineer work will be primarily indoors. Employee will be required, on occasion, to go to a wellsite or warehouse work environment. These work environments may include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, and inclement weather.

    Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated personal protective equipment (coveralls, safety boots, safety gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear protection) and must strictly adhere to safety policy.

    Controls Engineer must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and be able to lift lbs. with a team lift.
    Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
