    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Audubon is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our project team working onsite at a client's plant in Pasadena, TX.

    The Process Engineer will help with the scope of the projects before transitioning to working with additional engineering support as we move into FEED and then detail engineering.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Key Areas of Responsibility will include: Lead in the promotion of a strong safety and environmental stewardship culture. Ensure good engineering practices and standards are followed. Contribute with technical expertise to events that impact the safety, health, and environmental performance of the site.
    Serve as technical lead for a specific areas of the process. Provide technical assistance, calculations and troubleshooting for the daily operational, maintenance and product quality needs.
    Lead and steer the progress of capital projects, and ensure scope, schedule and cost goals are achieved.
    Provide basic data and calculations for capital projects. Participate in design and vendor information reviews for these.
    Identify and lead cost and continuous improvement opportunities at the site.
    Assist the Procurement Team in the development of bid packages for technical consulting firms and vendors.

    Mentor younger engineers by delegating work, providing coaching of critical operating tasks, and reviewing calculations, minor design changes, and technical reports.

    Work and consult with other engineering and design resources to ensure the efficient progress of initiatives.
    Communicate to site business management.
    Additional duties as assigned.


    EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position: BS Chemical Engineering from ABET Accredited University Program required.

    5+ years' experience in a chemical or petrochemical plant environment.
    Experience with highly hazardous chemical processes preferred.

    Experience with leadership of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and work streams, specifically Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analyses, Management of Change, continuous improvement through incident investigations and root cause determination, auditing and on-time completion of PSM recommendations.

    The successful candidate may be tapped to take on significant leadership role of our PSM program.
    Knowledge and experience of chemical manufacturing unit operations, like reactors and distillations units.
    Strong technical, analytical and organizational skills.
    Understanding of basic economic information.
    Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPointHigh levels of interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills.
