    Description:

    An RN Extern LPN Qualified is a nursing student who is in their final year at an accredited nursing program prior to graduation.

    Provides nursing care using the nursing process under the direction of the RN and in collaboration with other health care team members.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education

    Minimum:
    High School diploma. Current State of Michigan Practical Nurse Licensure (LPN) required. In and/or starting the last year of an accredited RN program (ADN or BSN) and remains in good standing. Completes required elements to maintain Michiga Practical Nurse licensure. Must maintain current BLS certification.

    Related Experience

    Minimum:

    Must have successfully completed the first year of nursing clinicals and skills validation through an accredited ADN nursing program.


    Preferred:
    Nurse Extern or LPN experience
    Computer Competency
    Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
    Physical/Mental

    Minimum:
    Physically and mentally capable of performing position requirements. Must be able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Frequent standing, walking. Occasional bending stooping, twisting. Ability to hear speech, speak, use near-far vision and fine motor skills. Ability to
