    Job Responsibilities/Duties

    Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The WRPS mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 54 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. This complex mission spans all competencies of engineering/science accomplished through a highly integrated organization engineering organization. WRPS was identified as "One of America's Safest Companies" in 2020; and was the recipient of the 2021 "Employer of the Year" by the Association of Washington Businesses.

    The WRPS Workforce Resources Organization is looking for a personable, highly organized, detail-oriented individual to support the Core Services team responsible for administering WRPS' employee Benefits and Leave programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Receive and respond to general benefits daily inquiries primarily via phone, assisting employees directly as appropriate to resolve problems in a timely manner, or route for further assistance to the appropriate subject matter expert.

    Assist in processing new hire paperwork, return to works, and exits in a timely manner.

    Perform data entry into PeopleSoft/HRIS in accordance with weekly deadlines and maintain Excel tracking spreadsheets for HR metrics and reporting.

    Generate and process reports using Crystal Reports.

    Responsible for tracking employee Jury Duty and Military leave of absences.

    Interface frequently with Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) Benefits and Payroll departments to address benefits related issues or concerns.

    Protect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information while using tact and diplomacy in conducting daily work activities.

    Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations to include the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

    Provide back-up administrative support to Core Services team members (e.g., filing, creating benefits packets, etc.) as requested.

    Perform other administrative tasks as assigned related to the overall needs of the department.

    The successful candidate will possess the following:

    Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and adapt quickly to changing work demands.

    Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments, while shifting from one task to another seamlessly.

    Solid organization skills with great attention to detail.

    Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

    Working knowledge of commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.

    Required Qualifications

    Grade 07:

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Ten (10) years of related experience, to include performing administrative tasks in a functional area of Human Resources.

    Grade 08:

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Minimum of (10) years of related experience, to include performing administrative tasks in a functional area of Human Resources.

    Desired Qualifications

    General knowledge of employee benefit and leave programs.

    Previous experience working with PeopleSoft or related HRIS.

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Grade 07:

    Hiring Range Minimum: $57,450

    Hiring Range Maximum: $72,450

    Grade 08:

    Hiring Range Minimum: $63,213

    Hiring Range Maximum: $79,738
