    Hourly Rate:
    $ $23.75. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.

    Essential Responsibilities


    • Assists the Facility Director in handling facility/grounds issues reported in an attentive, responsive, and respectful manner.
    • Within established budget allocations, assists the Facility Director manage expenditures for facility maintenance.
    • Assists the Facility Director with personnel management including performance reviews and salaries of the maintenance/custodial staff.
    • Strives to conserve energy and implement designated energy initiatives.
    • Maintains organized files to include personnel matters, contractual arrangements, equipment warranties, staffing schedules, and inventories.
    • Maintains written custodial schedules with job specific duties clearly outlined.
    • Maintains proper heating and cooling conditions.
    • Provides a safe and hazard free environment. Assists the Facility Director in the completion of the OSHA and/or risk management checklist and addresses areas out of compliance immediately.
    • Inspects all areas regularly and advises the Facility Director of any impending issues.
    • Maintains MSDS, OSHA, and safety information on location in readily accessible area.
    • Completes maintenance repairs and submits work orders to the Facility Director for work outside of the in-house staff's capabilities
    • Ensures work completed by YMCA staff and/or assigned contractors is completed appropriately and professionally. Communicates issues regarding work quality to the Facility Director
    • Provides emergency response to all building emergencies. Schedules other emergency coverage when necessary.
    Leadership Responsibilities


    • Provide a positive environment within the department
    • Maintain communication with staff
    • Ensure staff training is complete and satisfactory.
    • Manages facility safety
    • Manages the work request system inclusive of corrective and preventive work requests
    • Manages the facility budget
    • Manages projects in conjunction with the Facility Director when assigned
    Minimum Requirements


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance/facilities role
    • One-year experience supervising
    • Must be 21 years of age, be willing to work a varied schedule, have excellent work habits with the ability to work independently
