Job Description

Location: Sports Research Warehouse Storm Parkway, Torrance Ca 90501

Reports to: Logistics Specialist

Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: $24-$26 per hour

Summary:

The Logistics Associate ensures the efficient and cost-effective distribution of goods, raw materials, and products.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Arrange and monitor pick up and deliveries of domestic orders, international orders, and key accounts including Costco and Walmart.
• Communicate efficiently with vendors and Company departments both verbally and via email.
• Arrange transportation of raw goods between our co-manufacturers.
• Create accurate bill of ladings, PO's, and packing slips.
• Maintain accurate files of all transportation and goods.
• Communicate, update, and track logistics information in meetings, google drive, and excel spreadsheets.
• Gather information to help resolve problems
• Use correct Harmonized Tariff Codes (HS).
• Understand shipping carrier timelines.
• Gather freight pricing and timeline quotes.
• Effectively handle stressful issues such as re-scheduling of delivery status, terminal congestion, receiving and resolving warehouse unloading issues.
• Ensure a high degree of detail and focus.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in logistics, both domestic and international
• Logistics background in health supplement is a plus
• Excellent time management skills
• Dependable and reliable
• Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical and always one step ahead
• Can solve problems, organize, and shift priorities effortlessly
• Know how to identify where help is needed and offer it before asked
• Familiar with carriers, including but not limited to, XPO, UPS, Total Quality Logistics (TQL) and Fed Ex
• Systems knowledge of Zendesk, Excel, Worldship, Shipstation, Google Docs, and NetSuite ERP is a plus
• Previous logistics experience with retailers such as Costco, Vitamin Shoppe, Walmart, GNC and Amazon

Working Conditions

This role works in a collaborative indoor office setting with desks, computers, stairs, telephones and a copy machine.

• Work involves sitting most of the workday.
• Walking, standing, and use of stairs are required only occasionally.
• Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required.
• Reading and writing in English.
• Expressing or exchanging information by means of the spoken or written word.
• Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Clarity or vision at approximately 20 inches or less to perform an activity such as: analyzing data and figures; and extensive reading, primarily on a computer monitor.
