    The ideal candidate will be able to observe and evaluate the contractor's compliance with the intent of the construction documents and evaluate the contractor's proposed remedial actions as required for public works-type projects.

    Perform pre-construction duties and chair pre-construction meeting.

    Review contract requirements and changes by evaluating change order requests and cost/time impacts; Enforce contract requirements; interpret specifications/drawings and potential claims; Provide accurate measured quantities and review pay estimates submitted by contractor.

    Attend all necessary meetings and run weekly construction meetings.

    local jurisdiction requirements; and meet with local citizen groups and other agencies to
    discuss construction issues/concerns.
    Perform day-to-day management and oversight of projects.
    5 years of experience as a Public Works Construction Manager.
    Registration as a CA Civil Engineer or a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
    Prior experience with state-and federally-funded projects.
    Proficient computer, writing, organizational, communication skills.
    Experience as Caltrans Structures.

    These services include but are not limited to:
    Engineering, Design, Engineering/Civil Inspections, Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Inspections, Plan Check, Environmental Consulting and Construction Management. In addition, we provide consulting services to private owners within these same scopes of work.

    4LEAF anticipates the salary range for this position will be between $145,000 and $175,000 per year, commensurate with professional certifications, experience, and the location of public works projects the staff will be assigned.
