    Overview:

    NeuroPsychiatric Hospital of Mishawaka is looking for IOP therapists to join our expanding clinical team and deliver exceptional care to patients and their families on their path to recovery.

    The IOP Therapist will offer individual, group, and family therapy to adults and adolescents participating in our Physician-directed intensive outpatient program.

    The Therapist will support clients with group counseling techniques, complete comprehensive treatment plans, conduct daily suicide risk assessments, plan discharges, and handle insurance pre-authorization/reviews.

    Responsibilities:

    Perform psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify initial issues for treatment focus through discussions with the patient and their family.

    Collaborate with physicians to communicate patient progress, needs, concerns, and actual or potential problems.

    Work closely with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans, including discharge plans, based on the psychosocial assessment and standard social work interventions.

    Offer group and family therapies, educational sessions, and other therapeutic groups for patients and their families using diverse treatment modalities.

    Provide social work services such as short-term individual counseling, group therapy, community resource planning, and crisis intervention.

    Create and coordinate individualized discharge plans utilizing chart information and input from the treatment team to meet the patient's post-care requirements.

    Stay informed about referral resources in the service area.
    Keep updated on Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party reimbursement sources.

    Demonstrate expertise in developing individualized, behavioral, and measurable treatment goals based on the psychosocial assessment and psychiatric evaluation.

    Lead group therapy sessions daily. Conduct individual or family therapy sessions as needed.
    Verify insurance benefits, obtain treatment authorizations, and conduct ongoing utilization reviews.
    Document all progress notes in the medical record within 24 hours of the service date.


    Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling mandatory.
    Preference for Clinical Social Worker Licensure. CPR and CPI certification to be acquired during orientation.
    Minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare and mental health experience preferred.
    Proficiency in developing and implementing treatment plans
    Skilled in individual and group counseling techniques
    Excellent communication abilities
