SACYR USA is looking for a Survey Party Chief with a design background in Roadways. The ideal candidate will be need to relocate to Lake Charles, Louisiana.

*Position Summary*The Survey Party Chief position supervises members of the survey crew, and perform topography surveys, field layouts, and coordinate with the Survey Manager.

*Survey Party Chief Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection
• Ability to coordinate with survey manager, that may be offsite, and with project management staff for daily operations
• Provide care to survey equipment and understand usage of data collection equipment and upgrades to technology
• May be required to work as a one-person crew
• Perform and execute onsite survey mapping, traversing, leveling, staking, and all survey methods required to complete the work requested.
• Read and interpret project drawings and details.
• Comply with required safety measures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Advise and assist with project scheduling.
• Support the project team as requested.
• Quality control of all survey documents, including field notes, sketches, plans, etc.
• Supervision, preventative maintenance, and repair of survey field equipment
• Use and understand survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
• Download and upload survey data to and from the office
• Read construction plans

*Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Knowledge and experience in field surveying procedures
• Experience with field survey software applications, plan reading, data calculations, project workflows and constructability.
• Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software
• Great Leadership skills
• Ability to supervise team members
• Valid certification is required
