    Luvability Ministries - Executive Director Qualifications & Job Description

    For nearly three decades, Luvability has been deeply committed to creating a Christian community for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), in addition to their families and caregivers.

    By partnering with donors, churches, and businesses, we establish inclusive spaces that foster opportunities for worship, fellowship, growth, and service.

    At Luvability, individuals with IDD are cherished as beloved by God, empowered to actively engage and prosper within the Christian community.

    Our array of ministries includes weekly Worship Arts services, monthly Together community events, Summer Camps, life enrichment classes, caregiver support services, grief counseling, and life celebration ceremonies.

    While we currently collaborate with community partners for meeting spaces, our vision entails establishing a dedicated center. The Luvability Center will serve as our permanent home, allowing us to enhance services and expand our reach.

    We are in search of an executive leader with a unique skill set and unwavering Christian faith. Someone who will lead by example and guide Campers, Caregivers, Staff, and Volunteers in the ways of Jesus through Christian principles such as commitment in baptism, communion, and worship.

    • Personal Qualifications

      • Professional/Technical Competence: Possessing realistic knowledge and competence in the field, applying up-to-date professional standards and principles.
      • Innovation: Demonstrating creative efforts to enhance and improve existing practices.
      • Objectivity: Assessing issues and decisions based on presented facts without personal biases influencing decisions.
    • Administrative Responsibilities
      • Board Administration and Support: Advising and informing Board members, supporting Board evaluations, and implementing Board initiatives.
      • Planning: Developing short and long-term plans aligned with organizational objectives.
      • Budgeting and Economic Management: Creating and adhering to budgets, practicing cost containment.
      • Fundraising and Development: Overseeing fundraising planning and implementation to secure financial support.
    • Management Responsibilities
      • Oral Communication: Effectively communicating orally with individuals and groups in a clear and organized manner.
      • Written Communication: Preparing clear and concise written communications fulfilling content and timeliness requirements.
      • Coordination/Collaboration: Working effectively with others, facilitating communication and problem-solving.
    • Leadership Qualifications
      • Coaching: Promoting a positive attitude, encouraging calculated risks, and providing honest feedback.
      • Empowerment: Involving others in decision-making, fostering leadership in others, and creating an environment for success.
      • Modeling: Treating all with respect, promoting teamwork, and accepting responsibility.
      • Team Building: Encouraging cooperation, recognizing individual and team accomplishments, and managing conflicts.
      • Visioning: Establishing a vision for the future and planning accordingly.

      Job Type: Full-time

      Pay: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
