    Responsibilities

    Cypress Creek Hospital is a free-standing -bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in north Houston, TX, and minutes south of The Woodlands. Cypress Creek Hospital features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over , patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cypress Creek Hospital. We are comprised of a tenured dedicated team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health Technicians and Support Staff where delivering compassionate care is our mission.

    Job Summary:

    Perform reception and clerical duties for the Branches NW Houston location.

    Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO/Managing Director.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner and route to appropriate person.
  • Perform clerical duties that include labeling forms, copying/transition charts, compile daily census, send charge sheets to business office for billing.
  • Conduct follow-up calls for patients not presenting for scheduled appointments.
  • Display professional boundaries.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a manner which projects empathy, helpfulness, and desire to positively impact organization image.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and physical environment for patients.
  • Identify and report any maintenance/housekeeping issues.
  • Order supplies.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings.
  • Complete timesheet correction forms for staff and turn into Payroll Coordinator by the end of each week.
  • Complete any additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Receptionist Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
  • CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications which can be obtained during orientation.
  • Must be able to complete new hire requirements such as a nationwide background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • State and Federal Office of the Inspector General check.
  • Tuberculosis screening with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire. PPD evaluation annually thereafter.
  • Must complete CPR and Handle with Care during orientation, and as required thereafter.
  • Must possess experience and knowledge of administrative duties necessary to support location needs.
  • Must possess ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and various software.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player.
  • Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary.
  • Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving.
