    Position Description:

    • The Senior Watch Officer (SWO) is responsible for coordinating cyber and physical incidents affecting critical infrastructure and generating various levels of incident reports by gathering information from multiple sources. SWOs provide precise, timely, and actionable details to government leadership, law enforcement, federal stakeholders, and partners.
    • The ideal SWO candidate is an experienced Operations/Intelligence/Cyber expert who can thrive in a fast-paced, detailed operational setting. They must be capable of promptly assessing cyber events and briefing senior officials effectively.
    • SWOs must adeptly manage cyber and physical incidents in collaboration with federal staff. Additionally, they lead a team of analysts during shifts and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
    • SWOs triage, analyze, and coordinate cyber, communications, and physical incidents to determine their impact on essential infrastructure. They also assess the need for reporting or briefing, coordinate data collection and analysis during incidents, and monitor events until resolution.
    • Required to communicate across various platforms and brief management and senior leadership on developing situations during regular briefings or as needed.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting all communication and information technology hardware, software, and firmware is essential. Candidates should swiftly resolve equipment issues and collaborate with the help desk for solutions.
    • Monitoring classified databases, ticket management systems, alerting services, news outlets, social media, and other sources to identify threats to national critical infrastructure is a key responsibility.
    • Acting as liaisons with internal divisions, federal stakeholders, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, regional personnel, industry partners, and internal teams to ensure cohesive reporting on events impacting critical infrastructure.
    • SWOs must multitask, make rapid decisions, and employ critical thinking skills in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment under the guidance of a federal CISA Duty Officer.
    • Ability to decipher technical cyber reports, including IOCs and TTPs, and succinctly communicate vital information to a non-technical audience is crucial.
    • Utilizing specialized processes and technologies to bolster international security and crisis management programs across the enterprise.
    • Providing additional services and support as directed by the government client.
    • Operating within a 24x7x365 Classified Operations and Watch Center.
    • Shifts are assigned based on team requirements and may involve rotating schedules.
    • Shift 1: M-F
    • Shift 2: M-F
    • Shift 3: M-F
    • Shift 4: F/S/S
    • Shift 5: F/S/S

    Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3-5 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience can substitute for a degree.
    • Experience in national and local-level crisis management.
    • Proficiency in using work instructions and templates.
    • Experience in time-sensitive report writing.
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee the production and dissemination of event-driven reports, regular reports, and briefing materials.
    • Ability to manage cyber incidents while multitasking and performing standard shift duties.
    • Experience in managing and triaging group email accounts.
    • Professional communication via email in a timely manner.
    • Conducting oral briefings for senior leaders.
    • Flexibility to work in a 24x7x365 operations support environment.
    • Knowledge of open-source analysis and alert systems.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office automation solutions.
    • Experience with Remedy Service, Knowledge Management System, and ServiceNOW or similar Service Desk ticketing system.
    • Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.
    • Ability to obtain and retain a favorable DHS background investigation for ongoing employment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience as an Operations Officer/Action Officer/Incident Manager.
    • Proficiency in drafting and publishing national-level reports.
    • Capability in email triage and handling requests for information (RFIs).
    • Experience as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst in Joint Operations Center and/or Fusion Center.
    • History of briefing senior leadership at a national level.
    • Experience in cyber incident management and analysis.
    • Attainment of Cyber certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
