    Chicago Family Health Center is seeking a highly motivated and professional Payroll Specialist to join our team.

    Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Payroll Specialist serves as the payroll administrator which includes processing payroll, maintaining time keeping records, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy, and maintaining accurate set up and tax filings federally as well as in multiple states and jurisdictions.

    Leverages industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the department and the organization. Supports culture development efforts.


    Responsibilities:


    Collaborate with HR personnel to maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new staff onboarding and ongoing updates to benefit enrollment.

    Oversee the day-to-day and bi-weekly input of data, including time clock punches and time-off requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

    Take accountability for manual and retro pay calculations, ensuring accurate disbursement to employees.
    Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of employee payroll information to the external payroll service provider.

    Liaison with Payroll Service Provider (Paylocity): Act as the primary contact between the organization and the payroll processing company, resolving issues and correcting errors as needed.

    Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including pay discrepancies, tax withholding, and deductions.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    Proven experience working in payroll processing and administration.
    Minimum of (3) years of direct payroll experience.
    Strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
    Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
