Senior Agilist / Scrum Master

Cognizant Digital Engineering an experienced Agilist with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and a proven track record as a Scrum Master. The ideal candidate is someone who focuses on enhancing team performance, ensuring agile adoption, and driving the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Experience in Cards & Payments domain is advantageous. Proficiency in Java and AWS is highly desirable.

Location: Charlotte, NC (on-site)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead agile teams through the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices.

• Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint demos.

• Identify and remove impediments to team progress, promoting an environment of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with product owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.

• Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

• Provide coaching and training at the team level to enhance Agile adoption.

• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management.

• Liaise between developers and project stakeholders fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines.

• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

• Apply best practices in software development, including CI/CD, DevOps, and test automation.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a certification as a Scrum Master.

• Have between 6 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a preference for those who have worked in the Cards & Payments domain.

• Proficiency in Java and AWS is highly desirable, enhancing the ability to contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to coach teams in Agile practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with all levels of the organization.

• A proactive approach to project management, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.

• A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both personally and at the team level.

• Required Skills: Agile, CX-Scrum Master

• Nice to have Technical Skills: Java, AWS

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
