Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:
  • Prepare daily meals following set recipes, adapting as needed for special dietary requirements or enhanced flavors.
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation and use attractive garnishes.
  • Serve meals with appropriate condiments.
• Service Coordination:
  • Work on the service line during meal times.
  • Monitor portions to reduce waste and meet residents' preferences.
• Sanitation and Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas following sanitation guidelines.
  • Keep coolers, freezers, and storage rooms clean.
  • Adhere to FIFO guidelines for food storage.
• Attendance and Participation:
  • Attend all required meetings, in-services, and trainings.
• Relationship Building:
  • Establish positive relationships with residents, coworkers, and team members.
• Compliance:
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Additional Duties:
  • Complete any other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some college or culinary school preferred).
• Experience: One to three years of cooking experience (preferably in a geriatric environment).
• Certifications: Preferably holds a Food Handlers Certificate and ServSafe Managers Certification.
