    As the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and the region's only designated level 1 pediatric trauma center, our Surgical Services department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to perform more than 20,000 surgical procedures annually We are seeking a Director, Surgical Services to lead a team of dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals that seek to make a difference in the lives of our patients and families.


    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Dir, Surgical Services collaborates with Sr leadership and subordinate staff to plan, implement
    and evaluate processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal
    management, staff competence and customer service outcomes within designated units/services.
    Ensures that regulatory requirements/standards are communicated, implemented and monitored.
    Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to plan, implement and evaluate activities
    related to department and organizational objectives. Models customer service excellence.
    Participates in rotational on-call duties including, but not limited to, responding to emergency
    situations, maintenance malfunctions, or staffing situations that require coverage.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree
    CA RN License
    5 years of experience
    At least five (5) years in administrative or supervisory experience
    Broad knowledge of the disciplines represented in the department and of the laws and regulations pertaining to services provided by the department

    Bachelor's Degree with current enrollment in a Master's Degree program will be accepted.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Master's Degree
    6 years of experience

    The expected hiring range for this position is $86.06 to $118.33
