    Human Resources Specialist, Benefits The pay range for this position is listed below.

    Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time.

    Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates.

    Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.


    Pay Range:
    $66, $96,087.00

    Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 What Youll Be Doing Administers teammember benefit plans; assists teammembers with insurance plan issues or problems; administers member eligibility updates and monthly invoice preparation; prepares and communicates new and revised information to teammembers and carriers.

    Act as a trusted advisor to our teammembers by providing guidance in benefits and retirement programs offered by the credit union.

    Research, analyze, and administer healthcare plans and wellness programs, from medical and dental benefits to disability and retirement plans.
    Administers various wellness programs; conducts research on additional wellness education resources and programs; makes recommendations to management for implementation.
    Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments. Monitors benefit elections through queries and reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
    Serves as a resource for HR partners and teammembers to insure benefits are understood and executed properly. Advocates for the benefit participant to resolve complex claim, eligibility and coverage issues.

    Performs benefit administration activities in support of core transaction processing, including but not limited to, health and welfare benefits and retirement plan benefits.

    Utilizes internal benefits reports and external vendor reports/systems for the purpose of reconciling eligibility and billing, working with internal and external partners to resolve discrepancies.

    Contributes to the development of or improvement of established procedures. Researches operational issues or other benefits related problems to root cause and shares knowledge with team.
    Creates benefits communications to include benefit rate changes, plan changes, and benefits education materials, providing support in educating teammembers.
    Research insurance options and stay on top of trends. Stays up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

    Administers workers compensation program to ensure claims are reported in a timely manner and are in compliance with organizations policies and procedures.

    Responsible for assessing the work environment and identifying modifications needed to support a safer and more efficient workplace.
    Proactive in identifying current/future health, ergonomic and safety trends. Provides training as needed to teammembers regarding proper body positioning, movement standards, and other injury prevention techniques.

    Additional Job Functions Performs other duties as assignedComplies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties.

    Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management.

    Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function including, but not limited to:
    FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and more.

    Up to 100% remote . Select individual contributor roles may be given the option to work fully remote.
