- Promote client's health, self-direction, skill development, and ensure client's goals are developed and documented
- Provide education and resources to clients and their families, including but not limited to, community resources, family peer support services, support groups and networks
- Serve as an advocate for clients and their families
- Assist in the development of crisis and other client and family-driven plans
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Family Peer Recovery Specialist through the State of Maryland (CPRS or CPRS-F) OR willingness to be certified within one (1) year of employment (agency will pay)
- Personal, lived experience supporting a child or loved one in their journey to recovery and stability
- 2 years of professional experience working with children and families in a community-based program
- Must possess a valid driver's license with proof of current automobile insurance
- Must be able to work with "high-risk" consumers who have mental illnesses as well as developmental and physical disabilities. We expect all staff to have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service; to comply with the rules and regulations of those organizations to which we are accountable; to have high ethical and professional standards of conduct; and to have an attitude of wanting to continuously improve their own professional performance.
