- Under minimal direction, the Principal Engineer – Chemical Services manages, plans and coordinates chemical services activities to Chemical Milling and Chemical cleaning areas throughout the facility.
- Understanding, Maintaining, Monitoring, and Improving the Chemical Milling processes, Chemical Cleaning, and Hazardous Waste Management generated in the chemical milling and cleaning processes.
- Conduct chemical experiments and tests using chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques and microscopy.
- Studies on material removal and or etch rates on titanium and Inconel parts.
- Calculate daily etch rates and perform bath additions in order to bring chemistry up to specifications
- 5 years of experience working with titanium alloys within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Completed Hazardous Chemical Safety Training (Hazwoper) or to be completed within six months.
- Knowledge of the principles of Chemistry, applied mathematics, and applied physics to efficiently use and transform chemicals, matter, and energy.
