    The Technical Director coordinates the efforts of all technical operations during newscasts and other live and recorded productions.

    The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, effective interpersonal relation skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload and function well in pressure situations.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Direct newscasts, breaking news and other programs using Grass Valley Ignite system. Other programs could include live audiences.
    Observes pictures through monitors and directs camera/video staff concerning composition
    Works with news producers to deliver a clean and high energy newscasts
    Switches video sources and given direction at the same time during live broadcasts
    Create commands and effects for newscast and other programs
    Performs other duties as assigned

    Requirements & Skills:
    High school diploma
    Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    Minimum two years' experience in news operation and production preferred
    Proficiency with broadcast control equipment
    Operational knowledge of Ross CamBot Robotic Camera Systems is a plus
    Must be willing and flexible to work any shift
    Must be able to sit for long periods of time
