Job DescriptionOur boutique recruiting firm has partnered with a great client in the Insurance business that is growing and has a great culture. We have a long standing relationship with them to recruit a Senior Accountant with Insurance industry experience to join their team of over 40 in Accounting and Finance.
The Senior Accountant responsibilities are:

• overseeing the general ledger
• managing accounting close processes
• conducting financial reporting and profitability analyses
• reviewing reconciliations of bank statements
• meeting stringent deadlines
• identifying and implementing new procedures and processes
• completing various accounting tasks, such as general ledger entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, variance analyses, financial statement preparation and review, and the development of managerial reports

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required,
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or a large corporationInsurance Industry Experience is required.
• Familiarity and exposure to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the ability to research and apply GAAP principles
• Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and presentation
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
• Proficient in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
