Performs duties within the construct of a unit-based, self- directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.
Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department.Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.
The 9T Cardiology is a 32-bed unit designed to provide 24/7 care to adolescents, adults, and a geriatric patient population with acute illness or varying stages of recuperation from diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or surgical intervention.
The unit features all acute care private rooms with telemetry capabilities.There is a diversity of patients with alterations of the cardiovascular system, including those with:
Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, ACS/Angina/Chest Pain, NSTEMI, Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmic Dysfunction, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and DVT.
This unit is also equipped to provide care to patients who are post-diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac device implant and electrophysiology study and/or ablation.
