Role Overview:We are in search of an exceptional Senior Vice President of Commerce, Practice Lead to spearhead our expanding Commerce Practice for Zenith US. This individual will be in charge of managing key current Commerce clients, such as the exciting Coty business, and other important agency clients. Alongside responsibilities for Coty, the role also involves driving growth within our wider client portfolio and acquiring new business.
We need someone who can charm clients, lead our client practice teams efficiently, and handle multiple clients and partners adeptly. This presents a distinct opportunity for a seasoned Commerce Practitioner to play a pivotal role in nurturing and overseeing this vital discipline for both the agency and our clients. Managing profit and loss (PNL) and aligning client profitability and objectives with media strategy are crucial aspects of this position.
We are seeking an initiative taker with a dedication to enhancing our clients' businesses and our team’s skills and capabilities. Reporting directly to the Zeniths President of Growth Practices (Commerce, Content & Cultural Convergence), this role also provides collaboration opportunities across these intersecting domains, particularly with the advancements in areas like Social Commerce and the strengthening of Retail Media Network offerings.
While expertise in Retail Media Network is essential, we are looking for a well-rounded Commerce expert rather than a specialist in one particular field. Ideal candidates will also ideally have experience or a keen interest in Social Commerce and DTC.

What you'll do:
The Senior Vice President of Commerce, Practice Lead will lead our Commerce Center of Excellence (COE) for our primary Coty partnership and other Zenith clients. This involves nurturing relationships with retail partners, establishing and executing best practices in Commerce strategy and activation, collaborating with other performance teams to educate and enhance the commerce skills of our workforce.
Additionally, you will provide leadership for key commerce clients, oversee the dedicated teams supporting these businesses, ensure the fundamentals are solid, and continue to progress strategies and activation in this dynamic environment. Driving integration within broader brand strategies and aiding in end-to-end planning are also part of your responsibilities.
You will act as the bridge between agency teams, client teams, and drive commerce strategies across the entire customer journey, collaborating with Data and Analytics to create Commerce Learning agendas. Serving as the primary contact for senior clients and being a leadership figure across the entire agency team are integral parts of this role.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing growing Commerce teams throughout the agency, offering leadership and strategic guidance, establishing best practices and procedures that can be implemented across teams.
- For key clients, supervising teams to ensure optimized planning and execution of campaigns in the retail commerce sphere, encompassing platforms like Amazon, Walmart Media Group, Kroger, Target Roundel, Macys Media Network, Walgreens, CVS, and retail networks such as Criteo and Citrus Ads.
- Understanding client requirements and devising strategic solutions that cater to their business needs and objectives, both for existing clients and potential growth avenues.
- Collaborating with Client Leaders to enhance and establish optimal commerce support within their teams.
- Working closely with Strategy teams and investment counterparts to ensure that commerce plans align with the overall go-to-market strategy.
- Serving as a liaison to Publicis Media Commerce practice to ensure the delivery of top-tier tools and solutions to clients.
- Contributing to new business presentations and associated tasks as necessary.
- Being a pillar of strength and consistency, acting as a point of escalation for clients and team members when required.
