    Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently searching for a Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join the Payload and Ground Systems Division (PGSD) team. This role will be supporting the Remote Sensing Program (RSP) Business Unit based in Linthicum, MD.

    The Hardware IPT Lead will primarily be responsible for program execution tasks, focusing on technology development, system integration, and strategic planning for Space PGSD. Additionally, they will contribute to the formulation of winning strategies for future initiatives. This position will be based in Baltimore, MD, with placement dependent on qualifications.

    The selected candidate will lead a diverse engineering team spanning various disciplines and will collaborate with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, System, Software, and Mission Assurance teams.

    The role offers a hybrid work model (75% on-site, 25% remote) and requires residency in the local area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and lead cross-functional engineering teams across proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases
    • Support proposal development and engage in new program acquisition efforts
    • Translate program objectives set by program leadership
    • Manage project budgets, schedules, and critical path activities
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure team resources are allocated appropriately
    • Engage with suppliers to communicate project requirements
    • Provide progress updates to internal and client leadership
    • The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling diverse and demanding tasks within a team-oriented setting. They should be self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a STEM-related field with 14+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 12 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 9 years of experience
    • Experience managing Non-recurring Engineering development programs exceeding $100M as Hardware IPT lead
    • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
    • Expertise in defense electronic systems
    • Proficiency in Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities
    • Background in supply chain, manufacturing, and supplier interactions
    • Familiarity with Mission Systems and/or Space Systems Hardware Design processes
    • Engagement in business capture initiatives and proposal development
    • Experience in systems development, integration, and testing
    • Exposure to leading engineering teams across multiple disciplines such as RF, Electrical, Digital, Power, Mechanical, Antenna, and Embedded Processing
    • Must hold US Citizenship, an Active top-secret clearance, and be willing to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in STEM or technical management
    • Experience in fixed-price contract proposals
    • Prior roles as Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or similar positions showcasing team-building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Involvement in Agile hardware projects
    • Direct management of engineering teams
    • Contributions to product line development and technical roadmaps
    • In-depth understanding of Design, Manufacturing, and Testing processes
    • Problem-solving experience in a collaborative environment
    • Active TS/SCI clearance with counterintelligence polygraph

    Salary Range: $174,800 - $262,200

    Please note that the provided salary range is a general estimate and will be determined based on various factors including the role's scope, responsibilities, the candidate's background, and current market conditions.

    In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, with annual bonuses reflecting individual performance and overall company results. Executives in Vice President or Director roles may also qualify for Long-Term Incentives.
