- Administering all phases of recruitment and selection activities. Assist with manpower planning and evaluating current staffing needs. Manage the interviewing and selection process with all candidates in partnership with hiring managers, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local hiring laws and regulations throughout the entire pre-employment and hiring process.
- Administer employee relations programs to maintain positive employee-employer relationships and promote organizational development. Coordinate all-employee meetings with GM quarterly. Responsible for overseeing company-sponsored events, and recognition programs.
- Administer company policies and procedures to protect the interests of the company and employees, meet legal requirements and support positive employee morale.
- Support employee retention through activities such as conducting exit interviews, completing compensation surveys, along with turnover and other analyses.
- Administer the performance management process at the site level. Give support to management in administering the performance appraisal and compensation programs, in employment decisions, promotions, corrective actions, or terminations.
- Provide administrative support and maintain personnel, benefits, medical, and training records to meet governmental regulations and audit standards.
- May assist with coordinating employee development programs, assessing training needs and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Respond to union grievances, process union dues, and reporting, as requested.
- Administer site Environment, Health, and Safety recordkeeping and reporting.
- Prepare periodic reports for management or corporate staff as requested.
- Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles. Other duties may be assigned as requested.
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required throughout the workday to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and may also include color vision; depth perception; and the ability to see print in various sizes and formats. May be required to climb stairs, kneel or crouch. May be regularly required to pull and push up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift boxes up to 25 pounds.
- Work environment: Work performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This is a full-time, onsite HR Administrator role at our Matthew Warren Springs facility located in Logansport, Indiana. This role is responsible for all onsite Human Resources related activities to support and develop the areas of recruitment and onboarding, retention, employee development, performance management, disciplinary actions, benefits administration, and union relations. This position will partner directly with the corporate Human Resources and site-level leadership teams.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SKILLS: Analytical ability to evaluate situations from various angles and make decisions using sound judgment while supporting the interests of employees and the organization. Must be able to establish professional credibility by demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a sense of urgency to complete responsibilities and requests. Excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to deal with many issues at one time. Ability to apply acute discernment in prioritizing competing responsibilities such as deadline-drive tasks and internal-customer requests. Ability to work independently. Proficiency in employment law. Demonstrated ability to work professionally with confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficiency with a Human Resources Information System required, UKG preferred.
