    Responsibilities:

    • Reports directly to the Company Sales Manager and Store Manager
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, customers, vendors, etc..
    • Responsible for developing leads, strengthening relationships, and building sales in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana
    • Research information regarding customer purchases, inventories, preferences, and market trends
    • Observe sales team, critique efforts, and develop plans to increase profitability
    • Manage all sales staff including scheduling, training, and conducting employee reviews
    • Work with sales team to ensure special order items are purchased accurately
    • Develop sales budgets, quotas, and margin goals for sales team
    • Revise and develop sales strategies, tactics, and presentations
    • Expand our market and clientele
    • Participate in new product development and/or new product introductions
    • Ability to deescalate any conflicts as they arise
    • Report any issues as needed to Sales Rep. to help problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction
    • Maintain special order reports
    • Develop and manage bid process/estimating process
    • Keep up to date with competitive pricing
    • Communicate with Purchasing for special needs products
    • Attend and participate in all Accounting meetings
    • Assist in Accounts Payable when needed
    • Work with HR to identify staffing needs, interview potential candidates, and complete paperwork in a timely fashion
    • Provide suggestions for improvement in own department and observations of other departments
    • Any other tasks or areas of responsibility that the Schilling family deem appropriate

    Education/Required Skills:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience in construction management, home improvement, or building materials
    • Well versed in accounting practices and lien rights
    • Ability to learn Point of Sale software
    • Strong attention to detail
    • High achievement drive
    • Self-starter
    • Computer proficiency
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Mathematical skills related to construction industry
    • Valid driver's license
