    Job Description
    Consulting Dietician, Pediatrics


    The Campus School at Boston College is a private, publicly funded special education day school within the Lynch School of Education and Human Development on the Boston College campus.

    The Campus School educates students ages 3-22 with extensive support needs, including complex medical needs.

    SUMMARY

    Responsible for coordination and monitoring of nutrition plans for students with multiple disabilities including complex health care needs.


    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Monitoring nutritional status as requested or identified in children ages with extensive support needs

    Communicating and working collaboratively with school staff, caregivers and outside healthcare providers regarding nutrition care plans

    Actively participate in encouraging all students to reach their highest potential

    Support the mission of the Campus School at Boston College


    Requirements
    Related Licensure & Work Experience

    Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist.


    Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian.

    Preferred 2-3 years working with students with extensive support needs

    Excellent Organizational Skills

    Excellent Interpersonal Skills

    Knowledge of medications and syndromes relevant to population

    Knowledge of mandated healthcare policies and procedures in special education programs

    Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
