    Description
    The Building and Grounds Support position is a direct-hire position working for HGA in our Baton Rouge office.


    This position involves the maintenance and appearance of various HGA office and property locations located in the Baton Rouge area.

    Work includes interior and exterior building maintenance and grounds-keeping, as well other support activities as directed by the Working Supervisor.

    Person in this role must be able to take direction but also exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in fulfilling assignments and responsibilities.

    Job Duties


    • Observes all company policies, safety guidelines and regulations at all times
    • Maintains appearance of building interior/exterior and grounds.
    • Performs minor interior and exterior maintenance as needed.
    • Move office personnel and furnishings as needed
    • Maintain an inventory of paper related supplies and distribute as directed
    • Restock, as needed, inventory of beverages and water supplies for all break rooms
    • Keep HGA Company vehicles cleaned and serviced
    Oversee and perform other miscellaneous items as needed including but not limited to:


    • Running errands as need – vehicle drop off/pickups, mail drop off/pickup, lunch pickups for meetings, etc.
    • Transport of employees/guests to or from airports
    • Help set up for company sponsored events when needed
    Skills/Requirements


    • 1-3 years of work experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Good interpersonal and people/communication skills.
    • Able to manage time and resources efficiently.
    • Current Driver's License in good standing
    • Discretion and respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive documents and information.
    • Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks and ability to perform minor repairs.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
    • Experience coordinating meetings and appointments.
    • Basic knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) for effective communication with maintenance personnel.
    • Attention to detail for ensuring meeting setups are completed accurately and on time.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Availability for occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
    • Reliable transportation to fulfill job duties efficiently.
    • Professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with executives and visitors.
    • Willingness to undergo a background check, if required by the employer.
    • Candidate must be located within daily commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA to be considered.
    Physical Requirements


    • Job requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis
    • Job requires constant work out-of-doors in all weather conditions
