    A Brief Overview The Clinical Informatics Manager is an action-oriented individual who will drive assay and instrument implementations, including in depth interfacing projects to completion on-time.

    This dual-purpose role requires both project management and interfacing technical expertise.

    This role works closely with internal and external customer teams to ensure all key project milestones are met within the deadlines and risks are managed and mitigated properly.

    This position requires a strong leader to manage complex installations involving instrumentation, data management, and automation system solutions within a Clinical Laboratory environment.

    This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the full scope of an implementation to include hardware and assay implementation as well as In Information Technology and Interfacing Implementation.

    What you will do The Clinical Informatics Manager role is to facilitate the customer installation project from the initiation/planning phase through the closing phase.

    Participates in pre-installation planning meetings with Sales, Service, Applications and the Customer to develop the project timelines, set project plan, develop project timelines and update project tracking softwareCreates and upholds the project communication plan for the remainder of the projectServes as the main IT point of contact/technical expert for all IT related topics (networking, interfacing and rule programming within the interface) and utilizes resources (internal and external) as needed to meet all timelinesCommunicates periodic updates to the primary Stakeholders (internal and external) and act as the single point of contact ensuring the streamlined communication between the customer and the company.

    Facilitates lessons learned sessions throughout all phases of the project and provides post installation follow-up and issue resolution.

    The Clinical Informatics Manager will utilize their in-depth interfacing knowledge to remove obstacles to instrument and assay go-lives by working directly with LIS vendors to develop partnerships to better serve our customer base.

    Working with customer IT programmers to program, trial and validate IT interfaces.

    Utilizing resources such as other customers or LIS vendors to share information across multiple sites through approaches such as publications, webinars and coordinating customer reference callsServes as the Company Subject Matter Expert and technical trainer for all middleware and calculation software platforms by assisting with defining the user requirements for new middleware and interfacing software products prior to FDA approvalPerforms pilot testing before and after approval, sets a plan for support once product is released and ensures proper individuals are trained and compliant to all processes when software is releasedPlays a key role in responding to required cybersecurity questionnaires and contract terms to ensure contracts advance at a timely rate.

    Interfaces with local and corporate IT as well as Corporate SD&I to ensure compliance.

    Assists with and educates on all additional networking needs such as connecting instrumentations to KVM Command Centers (internal or external), networking printers, etc.

    Develop materials and train the Commercial Organization on aspects relating to IT solutions and implementation (both technical and non-technical) as requiredAssist sales and applications with customer solution development discussionsAssist sales/marketing in providing assay and instrument demonstrations to customersDo what it takes to get the job done on timeOther duties may be assigned based on department or company business needs Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Information Technology or related field/discipline required Experience Qualifications 5+ Years expertise in solution deployment in the IVD or biotech industry or requiredIn depth experience with use and programming in major Laboratory Information Systems and Middleware (Cerner, Sunquest, EPIC Beaker, Instrument Manager, etc.) requiredDemonstrated leadership experience required Training and Skills Expert knowledge of project management tools and methodologiesExcellent communication, analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work within a matrixed organizationAbility to communicate with and interpret the operational requirements of end-users.
