    Description

    Under the supervision of the PSR Manager at The Conrad Pearson Clinic, the Patient Service Representative handles various front office operations including check-in, check-out, cashier duties, call center tasks, and insurance verifications. This role requires someone proactive who can take the lead in assisting across all department areas.



    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding medical queries, outstanding balances, and insurance benefits.
    • Welcome patients professionally, check them in, gather necessary information, and ensure a smooth billing process.
    • Check-out patients and update electronic medical records (EMR) system.
    • Maintain accuracy of insurance and patient demographic data.
    • Schedule patient appointments following set standards.
    • Handle various payments accurately and provide receipts.
    • Ensure proper documentation and financial reconciliation at the end of each day.
    • Organize and scan documents into the EMR system.
    • Maintain a clean work area.
    • Assist with urgent calls and hospital consultations.
    • Promote and assist patients with enrolling in the patient portal.
    • Handle multi-line phone system and redirect calls as needed.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of the EMR system for appointment management.
    • Regularly communicate and provide feedback to the supervisor.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Adhere to company policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
    • Be reliable, punctual, and complete tasks efficiently.
    • Display a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
    • Show strong patient relations and interpersonal skills.
    OTHER DUTIES
    • Assist with special projects as assigned.
    • Complete additional tasks as needed.
    POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in a physician's front office, preferably in a urology practice.
    • Computer proficiency.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
    • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance for occasional travel.
    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Prolonged sitting and moderate physical exertion.
    • Ability to maintain physical stamina.
    • Good vision and hearing capabilities.
    • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

    • Typical office working conditions.
    • Normal visual strain and ability to cope with stress.
    • Possible exposure to contagious diseases.
