    SIU Triage Property Rep - Madison, United States - American Family Insurance

    Description

    Evaluate and process referrals to ensure the appropriate distribution of workloads following established triage guidelines and practices. Assist in the detection of insurance fraud activity and improve fraud awareness. You will report to an SIU Manager.

    Position Compensation Range:

    $ $33.17

    Pay Rate Type:

    Hourly

    Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

    Primary Accountabilities

    • Evaluate information from referring source and determine if intervention is warranted.
    • Obtain additional information from various data sources in support of the referral decision when necessary.
    • Assigns referral to the appropriate resource in accordance with established triage guidelines and directives.
    • Record required data into the appropriate systems and databases and evaluate to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and directives.
    • Respond to oral and written inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Communicate with internal and external parties regarding referrals when appropriate.
    • Keep SIU management informed of issues.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
    • Basic knowledge of claim handling guidelines, practices and processes.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills to manage assignments and workload effectively and efficiently.
    • Basic knowledge utilizing the internet, claim and policy systems, and informational research systems and databases.
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated analytical skills to include information gathering, critical thinking and decision making.

    In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius (or 35-mile radius for Boston / Chicago) of one of the following locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110, Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034; Nashville, TN 37214, Atlanta, GA

    On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.
