    Description:


    The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all plant maintenance including facilities, utilities and operations to reduce downtime and assure peak plant efficiencies.

    Will direct all capital engineering design and projects to completion and work with appropriate vendors. This position will also have direct responsibility for the Maintenance team and their performance.

    This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of all products manufactured at Anita's Mexican Foods.


    Position Responsibilities:
    Select, supervise, develop, and build the capabilities of the maintenance team
    Ensure maintenance support is available as needed and service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner.
    Monitor and evaluate all equipment systems for the manufacturing group and make necessary changes for continuous production improvements.
    Administer and support the plant Preventative Maintenance program and train personnel on the program while maintaining its operating effectiveness.

    Maintain ongoing training programs in all areas of manufacturing maintenance and assist in developing new programs that will improve productivity, quality, and safety.

    Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility
    Establish maintenance programs and procedures directed at stabilizing and improving machine operation and output.
    Implement Lean manufacturing across all shifts to elevate site performance.
    Integrates hygiene standards with packing equipment design.
    Lead troubleshooting activities related to equipment failures, quality problems or environmental exceedances.
    Assists in the development of plant capital expenditures and repairs budgets and maintains expenditures within authorized budgets.
    Strategic management over PLC troubleshooting and programming responsibilities.
    Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of current practices and technology related to packaging and tortilla manufacturing
    Be acquainted with environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all operational permits.
    Drive, model, champion and support desired plant culture, vision, team-based structure, and skill-based pay for performance system

    Investigates the condition of buildings, equipment and grounds, and recommends improvements in the facilities to ensure that needs are met.

    Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skills.
    Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
    Follow Anita's Mexican Foods' safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices

    Compensation Range:
    Exempt Position

    • $100, $120,000.00

    The Robles Family acquired Anita's in 1978, since that time, Anita's has become recognized for the production of snack foods on the West Coast.

    The plant has various manufacturing lines that produce a wide range of fried tortilla chips, pallet snacks and taco shells.

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
    Minimum five years' experience in food plant maintenance leadership preferably tortilla manufacturing

    Demonstrated ability to support a long-term maintenance plan showing year over year improvement in Reliability, Maintenance KPIs and maintenance cost.

    Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Management, etc.

    Must have complete understanding of PLC and logic controls for high-speed operating equipment.
    Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA safety regulations, EPA, AQMD regulations
    Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaker preferred
