    Position Overview:
    *This position is required to be on uncontrolled standby as needed between normal work hours and weekends.


    The position assists with the moderately to highly complex service and maintenance of one or more categories of imaging equipment.

    Assists with performing installations, repairs, adjustments, and calibrations of imaging equipment within assigned geography. May work independently at times, however, typically work is performed under close supervision with management.

    *GE MRI experience is highly desired.

    EDUCATION:
    Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.


    Associate's:
    Electronic Technology or Engineering


    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
    2 years recent relevant experience


    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
    Knowledge of radiology physics, digital technology and mechanics

    Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to imaging equipment, radiation safety and protection practices.

    Knowledge of human anatomy & physiology, and medical terminology and regulatory requirements including TJC, CAP, the California Radiation Control Regulations – title 17, and the California Administrative Code – Title 22


    Requires the knowledge base and experience to repair and maintain a wide range of diagnostic imaging equipment quickly and accurately.


    Basic skills in the following areas: radiographic systems, diagnostic ultrasound systems, portables, CR readers, Bureau of Radiological Health and Certification procedures.

    Verbal and written communication skills

    Listening skills

    Organizational skills

    Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required

    Pay Range is $74.45 to $93.06 / hour
