    We're seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to be part of a growing Financial Planning & Analysis team of professionals responsible for the planning, assessing, and reporting of EdPlus budgets, including related workforce planning. This position supports functions including budgeting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, journal entries, internal control compliance, and other related financial and operations functions. This involves developing and managing financial planning and forecasting procedures, as well as identifying and prioritizing recommended actions.     Essential Duties
    • Interact proactively and collaboratively with leadership teams on a regular basis to understand and discuss operational needs and expectations.
    • Act as primary responsibility for Workday and Adaptive Planning entries and account reporting including budgeted and actual.
    • Monitor account expenditures, maintain and reconcile account budgets, evaluate against budget guidelines.
    • Compile, maintain, analyze, and interpret data.
    • Assist in the annual and quarterly budget process, and preparation of operational and budget worksheets.
    • Participate in audits.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for review.
    • Perform detailed cost and financial analysis, forecasts, and projections.
    • Analyze and interpret financial data for decision making and planning.
    • Communicate with EdPlus and ASU staff on their financial plans and answer policy, budget, and procedure questions.
    • Identify areas of concern and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
    • Provide technical assistance in the design of management report and reporting systems and related forms and documents.
    • May lead other staff in performing duties.
    • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field, including but not limited to: Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems AND four (4) years of relevant work experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

    • Evidence in having analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to get to root cause.
    • Evidence in having Excel skills and knowledge of Workday and Adaptive Planning.
    • Experience in innate sense of urgency and the ability to make smart decisions under pressure.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of understanding results and processes and passion to improve them.
    • Experience in being self-directed and capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive manner.
    • Experience working collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and resolutions.
    • Evidence of an effective communication style that is persuasive, motivating and supportive (verbal and written, as you will be preparing presentations).

    Working Environment

    EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

    Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.

    EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is not a fully remote position.)
