    Description

    Place of Performance:
    Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) at Fort Carson, Colorado.


    Telework:

    All services are to be performed in person, with telework authorized only in emergent situations upon approval from the Contracting Officer.


    Recognized Holidays:
    Contractors will be required to work on federally recognized holidays, as necessary for mission-essential services.


    Hours of Performance:
    Duty hours are expected to be between 0745 and 1545, Monday through Friday.


    Scheduling:

    Planned absences must be notified to the COR at least thirty (30) days in advance, while unplanned absences should be reported within one (1) business day.


    Recording Time:
    Time must be accurately recorded in designated systems, including (DMHRSi) and Matrix timekeeping systems.


    Closures:
    Compensation will be based on actual hours worked during unplanned closures.


    Mission Essential:
    This position is considered mission essential, requiring reporting during crises and declared emergencies.

    Legal Authorization to Work in the

    United States:
    Proof of U.S. citizenship or appropriate legal authorization is required.


    Periodic Progress Meetings:
    Attendance at periodic progress meetings may be required.


    Contractor Travel:
    Reimbursement for travel outside a 40-mile radius may be authorized for patient care or transitional care coordination.


    Computer Skill Competency:
    Proficiency in Microsoft applications and EMR is required. Training will be provided.


    HCW Health Requirements:
    Compliance with occupational health requirements, including immunizations and tuberculosis screening, is mandatory.


    Labor Category:
    Physician Services – Neurologist


    Qualifications:
    Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
    Successful completion of ACGME approved Neurology Medical Residency.
    Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
    At least 24 months of neurology experience within the last 36 months.

    Current board certification in adult Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN).

    Maintenance of appropriate continuing education hours consistent with state licensure requirements.


    Duties:
    Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
    Provide outpatient and inpatient services as scheduled by the Government.
    Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency neurological problems.
    Perform lumbar punctures, nerve conduction studies, electromyography, evoked potentials, electroencephalograms, and chemo denervation procedures.
    Prepare necessary records and reports in support of services rendered and as required by the MTF.
    Ensure a safe work environment and promote safe work habits among employees.
