    Do you want to be a key Mission Engineering functional leader? If so, we need you to help to build, develop and manage mission engineers.

    Managing technical personnel assigned to a department with a size of approximately 18 team members.

    Ensuring qualified and experienced personnel (and supporting design and analysis tools and other resources) are assigned to meet the staffing needs of programs.

    Staff management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching/mentoring, career development, performance management, compensation management, and separation of assigned employees.

    Assuring program execution of selected programs, on all performance criteria (technical and cost/schedule of SE scope).

    Serve as a technical check and balance of all SE activities including new business capture planning and proposal concepts development and staffing.

    In addition to the functional management role, you will be a working technical contributor on one or more programs – the split between direct and indirect is approximately 80%/20%.

    As a program technical contributor, the candidate will support the development, deployment and sustainment of a physics-based modeling and simulation environment enabling advanced satellite operations training


    This includes:

    developing space system architecture models using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies; This position will be responsible for working closely with orbital dynamics and guidance, navigation and control subject matter experts and will span the entire system lifecycle: concept, design, development, test, operations and sustainment.

    Associates Degree in a Technical Field with 8 years experience or equivalent experience with Bachelors or Masters Degree in a Technical Field
    Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
    Experience in RPO mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation and/or wargaming
    Experience in Cameo EA, including logical, physical and functional architectures
    Experience in Python
