The Senior Director of Sam's Merchandise Finance & Planning - FFC, is a multifaceted role.
You will partner with the SVP and GMM of our FFC business which is comprised of Bakery and Prepared Meals, Meat and Seafood, Freezer-Deli- Cooler and Produce and Floral.
As their "CFO" your role is a strategic thought-leadership role requiring strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities to drive sizable, complex, cross functional results and drive forward strategic initiatives with financial oversight.
In supporting the FFC organization, the role requires a broad understanding across the entire business to enable input into all major financial decisions and will often be required to work in matrixed situations.
The ability to challenge all aspects of the business in delivering improved performance while maintaining strong working relationships is key to success in this role.
Additionally, the ability to understand business trends, foresee financial opportunities and risks, and effectively influence business results is an important part of the everyday.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 7 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 9 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
MBA highly preferred7+ years' experience in Finance, Planning, Business Management, or a related area
4+ year of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
4+ years of supervisory experience
4+ years of experience working in a large, complex, matrixed organization
4+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising Planning and / or Finance
Experience working in Fortune 100 finance
Experience working in Fresh businesses, and / or experience in vertically integrated businesses
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
