The RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills. The RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations.
The RN 2 continues to consult with other members of the heal care team when the need for assistance is identified.

Required Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 9 months of experience in nursing
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) (with acceptance into an accredited school of nursing prior to hire).
RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire.
ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.Prior to leveling to RN2, RN must show consistent proficient performance at RN1 position or equivalent experience.
