Job Summary
Under the direction of the Communications & Patient Experience Manager, the Healthcare Business Analyst (Temporary Professional) will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
This position will contribute to optimizing processes, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the overall success of the University's healthcare organization.
Essential FunctionsData Analysis and Interpretation:
Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze healthcare data, including patient records, financial data, and operational metrics. Interpret findings to provide meaningful insights for decision-makers.
Operational Efficiency:
Identify opportunities for improving operational processes within the healthcare system. Work closely with stakeholders to implement changes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Performance Metrics:
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for healthcare processes. Monitor and report on these metrics, providing regular updates to management for informed decision-making.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data and reporting requirements.
Foster effective communication channels to ensure alignment of goals.Other Functions

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel).
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Experience with healthcare analytics platforms and business intelligence tools.
Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Typical office environment.
Work Schedule
20 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
This is a temporary, non-benefited position.
Salary Information
$20 per hour.
