    Description
    Position Summary:

    Under the supervision of the Meyer Member Services Director, the Summer Food Service Program staff are responsible for greeting participants and guests in a friendly and courteous manner, prepare and serve snack and lunch daily in accordance with the program guidelines, daily maintenance and upkeep of the food prep/service area as instructed. Position is seasonal and aligns with the YMCA Summer Day Camp program, typically May-August.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Daily food preparation and service in accordance with program guidelines.

    2. Foster positive relationships with participants, co-workers, guests.

    3. Assist with the daily cleaning and upkeep of the food preparation and service areas.

    4. Follow all food safety & sanitation rules and best practices.

    5. Receive and stock weekly food product orders.

    6. Availability to work a 6-7 hr. daily shift, approximately 8am-2pm Monday-Friday.

    7. Ability to work ten (10) out of eleven (11) camp weeks.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. High School Diploma/GED or currently pursuing
    2. Food Handler Certificate or obtain before first shift.
    3. CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
    4. Ability to work with and relate effectively to diverse, social, and economic segments of the community.

    Salary Description

    $15/hour
