Overview

RFP Specialist - Norristown, PA - Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PMResponsible for managing the bid request workflow; reviewing, triaging, and vetting bid requests; print production of hard copy proposal packages; and providing back-up coverage to RFP Analysts.

Actively supports field representatives with requests and information regarding new bid opportunities for prospective and current customers.

Responsibilities:
Review requests for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses from field representatives to ensure all information required to formulate a proposal is providedPerform preliminary assessments of RFPs/RFIs/RFQs to ensure the company participates only in viable and appropriate bidding opportunitiesFacilitate discussions between RFP Manager and sales leadership related to nonstandard or potentially problematic bidding opportunities/requirementsAssign projects and tasks related to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs to RFP Analysts as well as and Hospital Pricing Operations and/or Regional FinanceAssume primary responsibility for all tasks associated with print production of client-ready proposal packagesServe as backup to RFP Analysts as neededSupport ad hoc result and metric reportsMonitor websites that publish public bid opportunitiesAccountabilities / Metrics:Assure bid opportunities are reviewed and vetted within one working day of receiptAssure that all necessary information is provided to other members of RFP team

Hard Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeOutstanding interpersonal and written communication skillsAbility to work with little or no supervisionStrong decision making & problem-solving skills requiredAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentSoft Skills (Lominger Competencies):Action OrientedCustomer FocusIntegrity & TrustComposureTime ManagementExperience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.4 years professional business experience.

Healthcare industry experience a major plus.
