UNITED STATES TRANSPORTATION COMMAND MILITARY SURFACE DEPLOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION COMMAND (SDDC).
This team sustains Windows and RHEL operating system on AWS EC2s and VMs hosted on VMware and maintains the AWS GovCloud and SIPR environments used but the SDDC programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee Windows domains using Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, and DNS
Configure Windows Roles and Features on Windows Servers
Provide server administration for virtual servers by deploying, operating, sustaining
Maintain and service physical servers that host hypervisors
Support multiple programs hosted in separate AWS Virtual Private Clouds
Complete Security Technical Implementation Guides on Microsoft products
System configuration and patching using AWS System Manager
Install, configure, test and maintain RHEL operating systems and system management tools
Develop/maintain systems configurations computer systems while maintaining information as required
Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems
Install system upgrades, manage system resources and optimize system performance
Guide junior system administrators through advanced processes
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 3+ years' experience or 7+ years of experience in related field
Active Secret clearance
DOD M certification:
IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security +CE)
Demonstrated, hands-on technical experience with maintaining and patching RHEL-based systems
A strong understanding of AWS/cloud-based technologies with a desire to learn more
Demonstrated customer focus and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
