    Job Description


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Responsible for the final preparation of media before pouring stage.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Arrive to work on time and work during scheduled hours, working additional overtime as mandated

    Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP's, DHR's etc.) to the Area Supervisor

    Maintain good personal hygiene. Wear designated uniform maintained in good condition

    Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Refer to job specific Job Safety Analysis

    Perform all work activities in a safe manner. Maintain a safe and clutter free work area. Clean up all spills immediately

    Listen to, follow and relay written and verbal instructions in English

    Report property damage and/or safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management immediately

    Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance

    Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Lead

    Demonstrate job functions to coworkers as needed

    Continuously monitor product for defects

    Assist with inventory process as requested

    Work cooperatively and efficiently with coworkers in all departments with little supervision to achieve team, department and company goals

    Lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 10-pound force

    Stand for sustained periods of time, approximately 10 hours a day

    Walk short distances, maneuvering self around machinery and co-workers

    Ability to see in color

    Schedule the production flow on daily basis

    Assist in distributing Device History Records (DHR's) to correct departments for processing

    Add antibiotics and enrichments to media in a timely manner. Requires constant pinching, gripping, grasping, and reaching

    Weigh and measure items accurately

    Check pH balance on all media

    Pull required frozen antibiotics and enrichments 24 hours in advance

    Cooperate with co-workers solve immediate production problems or complete production assignments

    Relay product information to department supervisor for integrity determination

    Relay schedule information to production line personnel

    Complete needed paperwork by writing or signing with accuracy and neatness

    Maintain pipette and filter inventory supply

    Filter aseptic additives

    Check personal work for quality

    Identify colors and visually examine products for fine or gross defects

    Read meters as needed for product weight or amount

    Handle packaged animal and human blood

    Read, write, comprehend and communicate in the English language

    Use calculator for multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction

    Other duties/job functions as assigned


    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
    Ability to comprehend and read, write and communicate both in written and/or verbal English communications

    Ability to perform basic math calculations

    Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited educational institute

    Preferred one year manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or licensure/certification

    Stand for sustained periods of time, approximately 10 hours a day

    Identify colors and visually examine products for fine or gross defects
