The Headlines:
In the role of Supply Manager
Transportation working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Supply Chain Indirect Procurement team. The Supply Manager will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies for categories worth ~$40M in spend. You will use strategic sourcing principles including spend analysis, reverse auction, contract management, negotiations and supplier management.
This position reports to the Senior Category Manager - Logistics and works closely with cross functional teams.
The Responsibilities:
Lead negotiations and implementation activities and ensure contract compliance once agreement is signed
Manages category suppliers, including scorecarding and monitoring KPIs
Responsible for delivering category results objectives on a national level
Manage a large number of supplier relationships (100+)
Manage stakeholders and be able to partner with internal stakeholders to align on company priorities
Maintain a cost savings target of approximately $1M per year
Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities
Responsible for managing category annual operating plan cycle and support budget processes
The Other Qualifications:
2 or more years of relevant experience in transportation and/or procurement
You are strong in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills
SAP experience and Industry certification (ISM, CIPS) are preferred
You have broad based experience in multinational category management and international teams
Possess a Bachelors Degree in related field (or 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree)
