    Description

    PSI Pax, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud System Administrator to support our customers from the PSI Pax facility in California, MD. Travel in/around the Washington DC area may be required.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Remotely administer and secure UNIX/LINUX and Windows Servers in a DoD environment.
    • Remotely administer MS SQL Server, Oracle and/or other Database Management Systems.
    • Administering systems in public or private clouds (AWS or Azure).
    • Provision cloud resources such as VMs, storage, network, security, load balancing, etc. in cloud environments and working with service providers to resolve issues and meet security requirements.
    • Remotely applying updates to systems.
    • Analyze information security posture and develop security measures to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data
    • Ensure CUI/CDI/PII protection through application of the NIST or NIST
    • Maintain authority to operation (ATO) by applying DIACAP or RMF process for accreditation.
    • Apply STIGS and ensure IAVA/B/T compliance.
    • Ensure the security posture of the system through analysis of system logs and performing system scans using tools such as SCAP, NESSUS, and ACAS tools.
    • Develop system baseline and maintain configuration control in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.

    Required Qualifications:

    • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and/or a position of Public Trust if required
    • At least six (6) years' experience in system administration, at least two (2) of which are in a DoD or federal agency
    • At least one years' experience with remote administration of systems hosted in a data center or cloud environment such as AWS or Azure(preferred).
    • One years' experience developing or assisting in developing Systems Security Plans (SSP), Incident Response Testing, and applying Security Controls
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with DOD and Navy system security requirements such as the DIACAP or RMF process
    • Experience applying STIGs to systems
    • Experience complying with IAVA/B/Ts
    • Proficiency with scripting to automate tasks
    • Experience complying with audit requirements

    Required Certifications:

    An AWS certification(s) or either an OS LINUX or WINDOWs Server (preferred) certification along with at least one of the following DOD 8570.0I IAT III certifications:

    • CISSP
    • CASP
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • GCED
    • GCIH

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with CUI/CDI/PII and knowledge of NIST or NIST compliance
    • Experience with Trend Micro products
    • Experience using SCAP, NESSUS, and ACAS tools
    • Experience developing performance metrics and providing analysis against those metrics

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of specialty preferred.

    Equivalent education and experience combined can substitute as follows:

    An educational equivalency of four (4) years' experience in a comparable assignment; performing the same or similar functions; may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. An educational equivalency is in addition to years' experience.
