Description
EHS SpecialistThe EH&S Specialistwill support the Regional EHS Manager to ensure the company's U.S. operationscomply with OSHA and other regulatory agencies, company policies, and industrybest practice. The successful candidate also plays a key role in developing,monitoring, and continuously improving the company's EHS functions.
OSHA compliance and recordkeeping;other compliance and permitting & contractor safety management program -30%
Maintenance of EHS records, Groupreporting requirements, lead incident investigations - 30%
Safety training of the workforce,behavior-based safety program and manage site emergency response - 40%
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
OSHA compliance and recordkeeping (OSHA 300/301)
Maintain air and storm water permitting (SC DHEC)
Facilitate industrial hygiene monitoring
Assist with compliance related inspections
Oversee contractor safety management program
Assists the EHS Manager to build and continuously improve programsand culture surrounding environment, safety, health, security, andsustainability.
Maintenance of Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001)
Manage and report on company leading and lagging indicators
Maintenance of EHS related records and delivery of Group reporting
Assist with 5S program
Ensure company goals, initiatives, and campaigns are completed
Conduct audits and inspections as required by management systems
Frequently collaborate with HR, production, facilities, andengineering
Plan, execute, and maintain safety training needs of the workforce
Conduct site orientations for new employees, contractors, andvisitors
Conduct safety meetings and safety moments, coordinateTool-box-talks
Manage site Emergency Response; emergency drills, first response
Manage site Behavior Based Safety program
Assist in maintaining random drug screen programs
Lead incident investigations and RCA
Assist in security aspects of the business
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
5 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
Proficient and proven track record in OSHA compliance
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001
Outstanding organizational skills
Proficient with PCs, mobile technology, and MS Office
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
