    In this role, you have the opportunity to:
    Oversee, manage, and improve the Quality Management System. Ensure external quality certifications are upheld and maintained.

    Plan for and ensure the quality of product through collaborative partnerships with customers, with internal departments, and sub-tier suppliers to support delivery of product, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve internal business goals.

    This is a hands-on role that leads and mentors a team of quality engineers, technicians and inspectors that are engaged through the entire life cycle of product, starting during development, continuing with transitioning of product to manufacturing, and then supporting the continuous manufacture of product.

    This role will mentor and drive teams to perform effective root cause analysis and corrective action.

    Drive Advanced Quality Planning methods for successful volume production launches and engage with suppliers as needed to drive improvement and implement process controls.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Facilitate continuous improvement of product and process throughout the organization.
    Monitor, measure and communicate metrics on a predicted cadence.
    Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly quality reviews with management, peer groups and customers.
    Review customer and supplier score cards and ensure alignment of improvement initiatives to customer satisfaction.
    Determine internal performance impact on COPQ, develop improvement and demonstrate results.
    Promote adherence to the Quality Management System (AS9100), and drive improvements.
    Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, technicians and inspectors.
    Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement, excellence in productivity, customer service and quality.
    Drive team toward execution of business and personal goals.
    Ensure coordination and cooperation between departments to meet company objectives.
    Assist in creation and compliance of the department's annual budget.
    Evaluate and update the performance of team members against their job requirements and performance goals.
    Prevent defects through use of process, supplier, manufacturing, and quality controls.
    Develop and implement product quality plans, PFMEA, control plans, etc.
    Ensure product compliance through a comprehensive set of functional tests and inspections.
    Lead the qualification of new suppliers and internal processes.
    Understand sources of variation in the supply chain, manufacturing & test processes and control them.
    Assist in the evaluation and improvement of manufacturing processes, through lean concepts.

    Lead a robust 8D root-cause and corrective action process, working with disciplines within the company as well as suppliers and customers.

    Participate in the effective review of changes (ECOs) into manufacturing and the supply chain, including material disposition actions.
    Manage the process for non-conforming material and the efficient management of MRB.
    Drive efficient processing of customer RMAs, effective failure analysis, and responsive communication to customers.
    Conduct/manage internal and external audits and provide results; conduct Quality Management Reviews with Management.

    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
    10 years' experience in Quality Assurance a manufacturing engineering, operations project management, or quality position for complex electromechanical products.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully mentor and coach others and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and across departments and the company to support organization strategies.
    Able to demonstrate knowledge of AS9100 rev D aerospace standard and proven experience as management representative or Quality Manager.
    Experience supporting an AS9100 Quality Management System
    Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or equivalent role
    Ability to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the performance of all assigned responsibilities.
    Knowledge of relevant quality standards, methods, and practices.
    Strong working knowledge of quality tools (i.e. 8D, 5-why, Cause and Effect, Etc.)
    Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes such as soldering, machining, brazing/welding, painting, and plating.
    Knowledge of waste reduction methods using statistical data.
    Experience working on DoD programs
    Experience working in a matrix organization, supporting multiple products and projects.
    Experience with Agile PLM, Digithread, Oracle, SharePoint, Jira, and Jama software (or similar).
    Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
    Proven record of initiative, problem solving and implementing improvements.
    Ability to obtain security clearance.
