    The Role

    Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks for various applications. In the A1B Steam Plant Engineering and Design department, you will collaborate under the guidance of a lead electrical engineer to focus on the design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electro-mechanical actuators, specifically those linked to valve actuators. Your responsibilities will entail designing, qualifying, reviewing supplier deliverables, aiding in procurement, and delivering technically sound documents that align with specification requirements, cost reduction goals, quality standards, and customer needs. Alongside, assist in electrical component testing and gain exposure to electrical schematics/circuit design.

    Requirements

    Possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant exempt experience or a Master's Degree with no prior professional experience. An engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is mandatory.

    Desirable Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
    • Effective communication, organization, and computer skills
    • An Electrical Engineering background with expertise in electrical power distribution, motors, and power filtration circuits
    • Familiarity with circuit modeling software like Simulink
    • Experience in areas such as rectifiers, EMI filters, surge suppression circuits
    • Proficiency in testing and lab setups employing signal generators, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
    • Ability to build and analyze switching circuits, Resistance, Inductor, Capacitor (RLC) circuits, and knowledge of power electronics components
    • Hands-on experience with 3 phase motors, controls, and common mode noise filtering methods
